Why Spanish, why Voca
The Spanish you will actually use.
Spanish is the language where mealtime is sacred, where the bar at 8am is a social institution, and where the right greeting opens every door. Voca puts you in the conversations that matter: a tapas bar in Sevilla, a market in Valencia, a piso-share in Barcelona, a Monday stand-up in Madrid. You will switch between tú and usted without thinking, and stop translating in your head by week three.
How it works
One loop. Five minutes. You leave each session having said something out loud in Spanish that you couldn't say before.
- 101
Warm up
A two-minute brief in your language — the words, the culture, the things people actually say.
- 202

- 303
Roleplay
Speak to an AI character living the scene. They listen, react, push back — in character.
- 404
Score
Vocabulary, grammar, fluency, pronunciation — graded line by line. CEFR progress you can point to.

Spanish FAQs
How long does it take to learn Spanish?+
To hold a basic café conversation, most learners get there in 3-4 weeks of daily 10-minute sessions. The US Foreign Service rates Spanish as Category I — the easiest tier for English speakers. The slow part is finding people to actually speak with. That is the part Voca solves.
Does Voca teach Castilian or Latin American Spanish?+
Right now, European (Castilian) Spanish — the Spanish of Madrid, Sevilla and Barcelona, with voices to match, including vosotros. Latin American variants are on the roadmap.
Is Spanish hard for English speakers?+
No. Spanish is one of the easiest languages for English speakers — friendly pronunciation, logical grammar, vocabulary you half-recognise. The wall most learners hit is just speaking out loud. That is the wall Voca knocks down.
Can Voca help me prep for DELE?+
Voca trains real-world speaking, which covers the DELE oral exam well at A2-B1. For full DELE prep you will still want a structured course, but Voca is excellent for the part most apps skip — the actual conversation.
I am travelling to Spain in a month. Can Voca get me ready?+
Yes. A month of daily 10-minute sessions gets most learners comfortable with cafés, restaurants, taxis, hotels and small talk — there are scenarios built for exactly those moments.
