Why English, why Voca

The English you will actually use.

Forget the textbook dialogues about Mary and her dog. Voca puts you in the conversations that actually matter at your job and your life abroad: a video interview where you have ninety seconds to introduce yourself, a stand-up where you have to push back, a landlord call about a broken radiator, the post-conference wine reception. Real spoken English — said out loud, corrected line by line.

How it works

One loop. Five minutes. You leave each session having said something out loud in English that you couldn't say before.

  1. 101

    Warm up

A two-minute brief in your language — the words, the culture, the things people actually say.

  2. 202

    Drill

Tap-to-reveal flashcards. Spaced repetition keeps the new words in your head until you need them.

  3. 303

    Roleplay

Speak to an AI character living the scene. They listen, react, push back — in character.

  4. 404

    Score

Vocabulary, grammar, fluency, pronunciation — graded line by line. CEFR progress you can point to.

Nine of sixty English scenarios

Interview to seminar. Work to weekend.

Sixty scenarios per language, four levels deep. Same situation, deeper conversation as you grow — you finish a level when you can actually handle it.

English FAQs

I can read English fine — I just cannot speak it. Can Voca help?+

That is exactly what Voca was built for. Reading and writing English are useful but they do not prepare your mouth. Voca puts you in the conversation — interviews, meetings, small talk — and grades you out loud. It is the speaking-only practice that most courses skip.

Can Voca help me prep for IELTS Speaking or TOEFL Speaking?+

Yes for fluency, pronunciation and confidence — which are most of the exam. For test-specific question patterns you will want a dedicated IELTS or TOEFL course, but Voca is the best supplementary speaking practice you will find.

British English or American English?+

Voca teaches standard, widely-understood English and grades your pronunciation against it. There is no accent toggle — you practise clear, natural English that works on both sides of the Atlantic.

I am an intermediate speaker. Will Voca be too basic?+

No. The roleplay scales with your CEFR level. B1+ unlocks Curveball mode, where the AI deliberately throws in slang, idioms and unexpected turns — exactly the practice intermediate speakers cannot get from textbooks.

Can Voca help me prep for a job interview in English?+

Yes. There are dedicated interview scenarios covering behavioural, technical and small-talk questions. You'll get scored on fluency, filler words and structure — the three things interviewers actually notice.
